We aim to offer classes, workshops, plays and meet-ups - giving you opportunities to train, test ideas, meet collaborators and learn from others in the creative community.
All our offerings are led by industry professionals who are still active in their fields, as we firmly believe all training should be current, practical and connected to the realities of making work now.
As a non-profit theatre company, we keep our programmes as accessible as possible, because cost should not be the thing that decides who gets to keep learning, creating and growing.

ABOUT OUR
ACTOR'S LAB
Welcome to Actor’s Lab — our programme of acting classes and workshops.
Actor’s Lab is for actors who want to build confidence, sharpen their skills and keep their craft alive. Over time, we aim to offer classes for different stages: The Spark for beginners finding their voice, The Player for actors with at least two years of training who are ready to go further, and The Pro for actors with paid professional experience who want to stay sharp.
Each term will be shaped by active industry professionals, bringing fresh skills, approaches and current experience from the acting world into the room. While the focus may change from term to term, the purpose stays the same: to create high-quality, accessible spaces where actors can keep practising, experimenting and growing.
As a non-profit theatre company, we are committed to keeping actor training accessible, serious and supportive, so Cambridge performers can stay active, keep learning and continue to hone their craft.
ACTOR'S LAB
The Responsive Actor
7th September - 16th November
This 10-week course focuses on presence, flow and connection in performance. It is designed to help actors actors connect more fully to themselves, their character, their ensemble and their audience.
Through vocal and physical awareness, body-led exercises, character exploration and text work, you will hone the skills to stay present, freer and more responsive when working with others.
ACTOR'S LAB
Voice Studio
Coming in December
This Actor’s Lab class helps actors develop the vocal skills needed for audiobooks, radio plays, presenting, voiceover and video game work. Led by visiting tutors with experience across the audio and performance industries, sessions will explore breath, clarity, tone, pace, character voices and vocal stamina, helping actors use their voice with confidence, control and expression across different formats.

WRITER'S LOUNGE
Monthly Meet Up
Coming Soon
Writer’s Lounge is a monthly meet-up for writers who want space, structure and company while they work. Come together to write alongside others, take part in shared exercises, exchange ideas, or simply use the time to focus on your own writing in a supportive room — especially useful when you need momentum, accountability or a way through writer’s block.
